About Jodie
Remembering who you were before the world told you to shrink.
Holistic counselling, coaching and healing in Parkdale, Bayside Melbourne and online across Australia
Whether you've been trying to work through things alone or you have spent years in therapy, if you're still finding yourself back in the same emotional places, it isn't because you haven't tried hard enough. Most support stops at insight. I help you gain clarity from the inside out using holistic approaches that integrate mind, body and soul.
Meet Jodie,
I am a holistic counsellor, trauma-informed coach, Reiki master, and intuitive practitioner based in Parkdale, Bayside Melbourne. I work with women at every stage, whether they’re just beginning their healing or have already done significant personal work and still feel stuck. What l see again and again is awareness without real understanding, of the beliefs and patterns we’ve simply learned along the way, and once we see them clearly, the shift can happen with surprising ease.
I hold a Diploma of Counselling with an advanced major in addiction and family therapy, I am a certified trauma-informed coach, and I have been working intuitively since 2005. I bring together professional counselling, somatic work, nervous system regulation, EFT tapping, NLP, Time Line Therapy, Reiki, meditation, and intuitive guidance, not because every client needs all of it, but because no two women arrive the same. I tune in at the start of every session to identify what yours actually needs. This work goes further than talking, so the change becomes real and you feel the shift.
I am also an independent NDIS provider, offering counselling and psychosocial recovery coaching for self-managed and plan-managed participants, with the same holistic, trauma-informed approach that underpins all of my work.
If this sounds like what you have been looking for, I would love to meet you.
Why I Do This Work
Long before this was my work, it was my life. I was holding everything together on the outside while my nervous system was running on panic underneath. I was in a relationship that was not safe, and carrying trauma that had been stacking since long before that relationship began. When my body finally reached a breaking point, it came in the form of panic attacks that stopped me in my tracks. Leaving meant single motherhood, and the start of healing on my own terms.
Talking about what had happened was not what helped me. It relived the experience without resolving it. What helped was going underneath the story. Understanding that my reactions were not about the present, they were about a much younger version of me who had never felt safe, and learning to actually soothe that version rather than just explain her. Healing was not about becoming someone new. It was about remembering who I was before everything told me to shrink.
That experience is why I cannot offer one fixed approach to every client. What I have learned, through my own healing and through years of working with other women, is that the path is different for everyone. But the destination is the same: feeling safe inside your own body, trusting yourself again, and the freedom that comes from actually living that way, not just knowing it in your head.
What Makes This Approach Different
Here, your sessions are shaped around what you actually need.
Intuitively tuning in at the start of every session identifies what your system needs that day - not what worked last week, and not a one-size-fits-all approach
Work that goes into the body and nervous system, not just the mind
A practitioner with lived experience of the patterns she works with
Professional counselling credentials alongside close to 20 years of intuitive and energy healing practice
Independent NDIS provider for self-managed and plan-managed participants
"I felt fully seen, heard, and held throughout our session.
I went so much deeper than I expected.
I walked away feeling lighter, more at ease, and truly happy with myself."
— Rita C.
This is not just counselling.
It is the beginning of coming home to yourself.
It won't happen overnight. It happens gently, layer by layer, as your body learns it's safe to soften. Overwhelmed turns into steady. Misunderstood turns into finally heard, by yourself first, then by everyone else. That's what coming home to yourself feels like.
Before
Exhausted. Knowing your patterns and still repeating them. Running on anxiety you cannot switch off. Stuck in a mind that will not stop.
After
Grounded. Clear. Trusting yourself again. Feeling the shift in your body, not just understanding it in your mind.
